Run For A Cause. Run Against Cancer.       

KADALAGANis a Hiligaynon word meaning have ran. It may also be read as KADALAG-AN meaning victory or triumph. On this reason, the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR), through Casino Filipino – Bacolod, shall sponsor a Fun-Run-For-A-Cause to benefit the children of SUNTOWN CAMP FOUNDATION, INC.

SUNTOWN CAMP FOUNDATION, INC. is a non-stock, non-profit organization duly registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). Ms. Millie Kilayko, as President, Dr. Alvin Parreno, as Vice-President and the Board of Trutees run the affairs of the organization and bear the burden of fund solicitation for every activity.

The SUNTOWN CAMP brings together children who are either ill with cancer or in remission, children who have parents that have been diagnosed with cancer, and children with serious illness. The Camp allows the children to understand and accept their situation, express their feelings, and see that they are not alone in their struggles. They can spend time together with other children sharing a similar journey in a fun, healthy and loving atmosphere. At the Camp they make new friends and discover new interests within a community of caring adults who provide them needed attention to boost their self-esteem. 

PAGCOR, in cooperation with the other sponsors, socio-civic organizations, educational institutions, government agencies and concerned individuals shall run to ensure that the children of SUNTOWN CAMP emerge triumphant over their struggles against the evil of cancer and other serious illnesses.  

Registration shall start on March 15, 2012 at the Casino Filipino Hotel – Bacolod. Registration fee of P200.00 per registrant shall be inclusive of singlet and kit. Medical waiver and other necessary clearances shall likewise be required prior participation in the Fun Run.     

The KADALAGAN 2012 shall be on April 22, 2012 at 5:00pm. Its venue (start and finish) shall be at the Goldenfield Commercial Complex, Singcang, Bacolod City. Awarding ceremonies shall follow right after the KADALAGAN 2012 Fun Run.
