Akin to Lucky 9 , the object of the game is to obtain a hand with a total closest to 9. Players may wager on the Banker or against it, as Player and/or place Draw bets at any time. The player on either hand who has the biggest bet has the right to hold the dealt cards.

What sets this game apart from the colloquial Lucky 9 is its hitting rules:

When the Player hand wins, payoff is 1-to-1. If the Banker hand wins, payoff is 0.95-to-1. In case of a Draw or "tie," original bets on the Banker and Player may be increased, reduced or withdrawn for the succeeding play. Winning Draw or "tie" bets are paid 8-to-1.
