Having been with the company for 21 years, Mr. Andres Lizares actually worked his way up the ranks. He began his career in
PAGCOR as an Internal Security Inspector in 1987. And in 1988 when the Surveillance Unit was set up at Pavilion, he was
promoted to Branch Surveillance Officer. He was also assigned in Cebu and Tagaytay. Subsequently, he became the Branch Manager
of Bacolod in 1996. The inauguration of the first Hotel and Casino Filipino branch in Bacolod, paved the way to his becoming a
Senior Branch Manager in 2001. He was then assigned to Mimosa in the year 2003.
After graduating with a degree in AB Economics in La Salle, he pursued his studies at the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila
earning a second degree in Business Management. He took further studies in the university and graduated with a Masters Degree
in Business Administration in 1986.
Mr. Lizares maintains good communication with his people because he believes people perform best when they are allowed to
express themselves. And to reinforce this belief, he often conducts general meetings with them where eventually great ideas
are formulated and readily put into action. As a manager, he ensures that these ideas/proposals are done effectively and
efficiently and within budget.
PAGCOR Mimosa is proud to have him as a leader for he truly lives up to his CSTP tag name, “Considerate Andy”. In 2008, he
spearheaded the regular conduct of various MWR games and activities wherein four color teams were formed participated by
officers and staff from different divisions and sections. His aim is to motivate employees to be more creative, participative
and productive by injecting fun in the workplace. And the activities proved effective as he was able to boost the employees’
morale and promote camaraderie.
He takes pride in his officers and staff as he believes that having a competent and motivated workforce makes his job easier.
