  1. What are the age requirements to be a Casino Dealer?

    There is room for everyone from young people aged 21 to 35 years old (age limit for Philippine employment). However, your ability, personality and attitude count more than anything else.

  2. I don’t have much experience playing casino style card games. Could I still make a career dealing cards?

    The short answer is yes. We always start with the assumption that you in fact have little or no knowledge about casino card games. Even experienced players know very little about what it takes to be an effective dealer. We then build you into a professional level dealer with our instruction.

  3. Can I take the course if my educational background is limited?

    Yes, if you are ambitious and have good common sense you should have no difficulty. If you have problems during the course, our instructors will always be there and ready to help you.

    PAGCOR Training Center (PTC) seeks applicants who desire a career in the gaming industry. Aptitude and academic background are important. However, motivation, past work experience, and determination may taken into consideration for acceptance.

    A skills assessment test (SAT) and personal interview with the Program Manager is conducted for all interested applicants prior to completion of admission requirements. Acceptance is based upon the attainment of a high school diploma or its equivalent. However, the Program Manager may make special exceptions based on the successful completion of the SAT and the applicant’s exhibited ability to benefit from the program.

  4. Can I learn more than one game?

    The more casino games you know, the more opportunities will be available to you. It definitely makes you a more desirable casino employee. Blackjack and Baccarat are the best games to start out with, giving you a good basic knowledge of many other games.

  5. Tell me about your teaching staff?

    Our teaching staff is composed of professionals with years of experience in their respective fields. This course cannot be taught from books alone. It must be taught by casino dealers who have learned from actual experience. They are able to pass on to you all of the tricks of the trade, to make you feel like an experienced casino dealer.

  6. Who are the instructors?

    We only hire the best, most experienced instructors possible. Our instructors have been Dealers, Pit Bosses, and Floor Managers in major casinos and local card rooms all over the country. They are professional dealers with years of experience teaching others. They are skilled, friendly and bilingual.

  7. Do you teach me all there is to know about Casino Dealing?

    Yes, after completing a Certificate Program in Casino Dealing, you will already have a complete knowledge of Blackjack and Baccarat. You will also be completely prepared to dive right in and start working as a Casino Dealer.

  8. Do you use real equipment?

    Absolutely! You wouldn’t be getting a quality education if we didn’t. All our equipment is casino quality or better. We use only the best Cards, Chips, Shoe Boxes and Tables.

  9. What course/s do you offer? How long will it take and how much would it cost me?

    We offer a Certificate Program in Casino Dealing. Tuition fee of P30,000.00 shall cover 240 training hours or 30 days of basic skills in dealing Blackjack and Baccarat only and inclusive of training handouts and material, ID card, meals and snacks, and certificate of completion

    Tuition fee may be paid in two (2) options:

    1. Payment in full – during registration period either in cash or cheque payable to PTC; and,
    2. Payment in installment:
      • First half during registration period; and,
      • Second half to be paid on or before the 15th day of the training.

  11. Will I be able to refund my tuition fee if the program does not interest me anymore within the period of the training?

    Refund of fees may be granted provided a student cancels prior to the class commencement date. However, if cancellation is made after the commencement date of the class, refunds will be made according to the following refund schedules:

    1. Cancellation after the start of classes – tuition fee paid less P1,000.00 per day
    2. Greater than ten (10) days – No refund

  13. Do you have other programs aside from Casino Dealing?

    We offer a series of gaming, hospitality, performance improvement amd management programs that will be announced at a later time.

  14. Are these programs accredited?

    Yes, PAGCOR is the government corporation that regulates the gaming and entertainment industry in the country. It also determines the program offerings specific to Casino Dealing.

  15. Will the school get me a job?

    PAGCOR Training Center are not allowed by laws to recruit, pool manpower or deploy personnel. What is assured is the promise of assistance in landing a job of the same nature as what the training participant has trained for. We maintain a close contact with employers in the casino industry. Of course, acceptance in a job is always subject to the preferences and approval of the employing casino.

  16. After I’m trained, can I come back for refresher courses?

    All graduates of the PAGCOR Training Center are always welcome for refresher and advanced courses.
