End violence against women Zoom meeting
The Center for Global Best Practices (CGBP) has invited PAGCOR to attend a seminar on The Law and Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR) of Republic Act (R.A.) No. 11313 or “Bawal Bastos” law (effective March 15, 2020), which seeks to expand the Anti-Sexual Harassment Law and categorically covers “casino” and caters to clients who experienced sexual harassment therein. The gender and development (GAD) compliance training was intended to guide government institutions in updating its workplace policies and in aligning and mainstreaming its mandatory GAD Code with the new law and its IRR.
The training discussed all aspects of RA 11313 and its implementing rules and regulations that took effect on March 15, 2020. The content of the lecture include actions punishable under this law, liabilities of individuals and institutions, development of a code of conduct, investigation mechanisms, preventive measures, remedies, and valuable advice to keep you and your people protected as envisioned in this law.
The members of the Committee on Decorum and Ethics, representatives of the CID , ASHD and GAD Executive Committee participated in the event. The seminar is in compliance with PAGCOR's GAD commitment and designed to help attendees create policies and enabling mechanism to reduce incidents of sexual harassment and violence against women.
