Our CSR Statement

The Corporate Social Responsibility programs of the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) are primarily anchored on its mission as a partner of the Philippine government in nation-building.

The state-owned gaming firm in particular supports far-reaching CSR programs that help build the lives of the country’s future generation – the Filipino youth. These projects include the construction of thousands of classrooms for public school students nationwide; the production of thousands of school desks and armchairs using confiscated illegal logs; the fabrication of armchairs out of old slot machine stands; the development of football at the grassroots level to discover young Pinoy talents who will compete in major international football competitions; and a nationwide feeding program that aims to provide the nutritional needs of malnourished students enrolled in public schools, among others.

To promote literacy among cultural minorities, PAGCOR also funds the basic education of members of the Tala-Andig tribe in Bukidnon.

As part of the agency’s thrust to enhance the quality of education in the country, PAGCOR also supports the training of public school teachers in the implementation of the K to 12 Basic Education Curriculum. Through this initiative, PAGCOR becomes instrumental in ensuring that the education system for the Filipino youth will be more globally competitive.

Apart from several projects for the youth and education, PAGCOR is also engaged in CSR programs that help calamity victims through its disaster relief operations. The agency also brings joy to thousands of beneficiaries under the care of charitable institutions in the country through its annual Christmas gift-giving project.
