MALOLOS, Bulacan – The agriculture sector in the province of Bulacan got a big boost early this week after the Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) released a Php10 million grant for the purchase modern farm equipment.
PAGCOR Chairman and CEO Alejandro H. Tengco turned over the donation to Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando on February 19.
According to Chairman Tengco, the eight hand tractors and two harvesters from PAGCOR will help programs such as the Bulacan Farmer’s Productivity Center, Bulacan Farmer’s Training School, and the Provincial Government Multiplier and Breeding Center.
“PAGCOR recognizes the important contributions of the agriculture sector in building food self-sufficiency and a sustainable economy. We hope this grant will help Bulacan’s farmers adopt new farming technologies that will make them more productive and efficient,” he said.
Bulacan Governor Daniel Fernando thanked PAGCOR for the grant.
