The event was held on November 7, 2023 at the BJMP Headquarters in Quezon City.

PAGCOR donated a Toyota Hi-Ace Commuter Van to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology to help transport Persons Deprived of Liberty or PDLs at the Kanlungan sa Piitan (KSP), a jail-based reformatory drug rehabilitation at the Malaybalay City District Jail in Bukidnon.

BJMP Chief Jail Director Ruel S. Rivera, who officially received PAGCOR’s donation on November 7, 2023, expressed gratitude to agency for its support to PDLs.

“We thank PAGCOR for helping provide for the needs of Persons Deprived of Liberty in Malaybalay City Jail, Kanlungan sa Piitan. Makakaasa po kayo na magagamit ito para sa pangangailangan ng ating mga kapatid sa nasabing pasilidad,” he said.

The utility van from PAGCOR will cater to PDLs in Region 10 whenever they need to travel from the rehabilitation center to various destinations such as the courts, medical institutions, and to their residences upon release.
