PAGCOR opens auditions to Pinoy performers

The Philippine Amusement and Gaming Corporation (PAGCOR) is opening its doors to new talents to be part of the PAGCOR Entertainment Troupe (P.E.T.) Project.

Audition begins on September 7 for show bands, rondalla group and kawayan band and September 14 for male and female lounge singers (solo, duet or group). Performing artists such as acrobats, contortionists, mimes, stilt walkers, jugglers and ventriloquists will have a chance to try out on September 21.

Meanwhile, dancers (solo, pair or group) take the stage during auditions on September 28. The auditions, which will be held at the PAGCOR Grand Theatre in Paranaque, is open to Filipino citizens only, 18 years old and above.

Registration starts at 8:00 a.m. while audition proper runs at 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Pre-registration is until September 3, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. Pieces must be Filipino-inspired or with a Filipino theme - Original Pinoy Music (OPM)/ classical Filipino songs, music and dance.
