PAGCOR continues to provide assistance to thousands of residents affected by Mayon Volcano earthquakes.

The agency brought an additional 12,600 relief packs containing food and non-food items to the Provincial Government of Albay and its 1st district on August 27, 2023.

The relief goods will be distributed to the evacuees who were displaced after their towns were declared as permanent danger zones by the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (PHIVOLCS).

According to Ma. Vivien Cea, Officer-in-Charge of the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) of Albay, around 6,000 families are still in different evacuation centers, and the consistent assistance from PAGCOR is a great help to them.
